Known as the Striper Capital of the World, this expansive reservoir offers anglers an unparalleled fishing experience, thanks to its abundant striper population and diverse fishing spots. From the rocky shores of Denison Dam to the tranquil waters around North Island, several locations around the lake are particularly productive for catching these prized fish.

Eisenhower State Park Bluffs (Texas)

  • Description: This area offers camping, cabin rentals, and other non-fishing activities to enjoy between your striper fishing. The bluffs provide excellent fishing opportunities, especially during peak seasons.
  • Seasonality: Striped bass fishing peaks in May and June, and again from October through December. Night fishing off the lighted piers is particularly good from fall to spring.

Denison Dam (Texas)

  • Description: Located near the Spillway Boat Ramp, this spot is known for its rocky shoreline, which attracts a lot of stripers. It’s easily accessible for both boat and bank fishing.

Spend some time OUTSIDE with your child. The great outdoors in general, and Lake Texoma in particular is a great way to break your kids away from their computer screens and spend time where you can talk to each other face-to-face. What a concept!
